What is ready-mixed filler used for?

Ready-mixed filler is used to repair small holes, cracks, gaps and surface imperfections before painting or decorating. Because it comes as a ready-mixed paste, there is no need to add water before use.

Depending on the product, it may be suitable for plaster, plasterboard, brick, stone, timber and other interior or exterior surfaces. Once dry, many fillers can be sanded smooth and painted to leave a neat, even finish.

When should you choose ready-mixed wood filler?

A ready-mixed wood filler is designed for repairs to timber and woodwork, making it useful for skirting boards, door frames, drilled or screwed holes, nail holes and minor cracks.

For deeper holes, build up the repair in stages unless the product instructions say it can be applied at greater depth.
